Situated in Puthiyakavu junction
the heart of Mavelikara town, this temple facing east with Bhadrakali
as its main diety comes under the purview of Mavelikara thaluck NSS.union.in
1811 the govt. of travancore took control of Sree Krishna temple which
belonged to the edassery family.in return, the family was offered
the Puthiyakavu temple,whch later(1957) came under the rule of the
NSS. |
| The annual festival
is held during meena bharani.the main attraction of the festival is
kettukazhcha.around the sanctum sanctorium one can see architectural
sculptures. |
